This magnetic drain and fill hole screw kit 8M0058389 is an essential replacement for all MerCruiser sterndrives and most Mercury/Mariner outboards. The imbedded magnet attracts ferrous metal shavings to keep them out of suspension in the gear lube, preventing damage to internal gears. The included seal ensures the screw seats properly to retain lubricant and keep water out of the gearcase.
